Overview

Safety is at the heart of everything we do, and lighting is a key first step in creating a secure environment. In order for team members to be informed about an area or system, it first needs to be well lit. We provide a variety of both LED and incandescent lighting systems that are designed to be long-lasting, bright, and tough. When Walt started LCA, incandescent lighting was the standard. While bright, at 1000 watts, an incandescent bulb would only last 200-300 hours. This meant lights were often burning out, sometimes in the mid of a work day – or even during a safety drill or a real crisis. He began looking into using powerful, long-lasting LEDs, and waiting for the day when LED technology would be able to match the output of incandescent lights.When LED lighting arrived, it came with a problem – the anodized aluminum, when impacted, micro fractured.  In a nuclear facility, this was a major problem: boric acid.

LED – RADION LED lighting system

Our RADION LED lighting system provides energy-efficient, environmentally safe light. With absolutely no mercury, cutting your operational costs in half. They are long lasting, too – RADION LED lighting has a life expectancy of 50,000 hours. That’s over 5 years of operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Even at the end of their lives, they’re still working – after 50,000 hours the LEDs do not burn out, but are emitting approximately 70% of their initial output.  In comparison, a 1,000-watt incandescent bulb only lasts 200-300 hours, leading to lights that burn out more often, sometimes at the worst possible time. The patented lighting system is modular, useful in both in-air and underwater systems, and uses industry-leader Cree‘s LED technology.Incredible bright, our RADION LEDs range from 30.000 to 180,000 lumens, and all can be operated in air or underwater.

RADION-1

The RADION-1 is a single-panel LED light offering 30,000 lumens of illumination.Designed for both full underwater immersion and in-air operation, the RADION-1 can be moved directly from one environment to the other with no adverse effects.
The single panel light head is designed to operate in an ambient temperature of 130° F and still remain cool, and when used in air, the unit can dissipate through convection and maintain a temperature below 185° F.The RADION-1 uses the patent pending TriPlex process for aluminum, making it impact, abrasion and acid resistant.
Like all RADION lights, the RADION-1 has been tested at over 2.5 x 107 Rads (total dose), with more testing to come!

RADION-3

Do you need more light? Or maybe dimmable panels to adjust your lighting levels? Then check out the RADION-3. The RADION-3 is a three panel LED light with dimming capabilities that offers over 90,000 lumen of illumination.
Like the RADION-1, the RAADION-3 is designed to operate in an ambient temperature of 130° F and still remain cool, and when used in air, the unit can dissipate through convection and maintain a temperature below 185° F.
The RADION-3 uses the patent pending TriPlex process for aluminum, making it impact, abrasion and acid resistant.
Like all RADION lights, the RADION-3 has been tested at over 2.5 x 107 Rads (total dose), with more testing to come!

The RADION-1 is a single panel LED light offering 180,000 lumen of illumination.Do you need even MORE light? Then you might need our RADION-6, offers over 180,000 lumen of illumination. Dimmable, like the RADION-3, the RADION-6 has with six panels of LED light.

Radion-3SC

The RADION-3SC is designed to illuminate the entire cavity using two RADION-3SC aligned approximately 120° to 160° apart pointing toward the center of the core. This allows each unit to cancel any shadows cast by the other unit.

Each light will be tilted at 45 degrees which will illuminate the entire core. RADION-3 LED light. Illumination where you need it… when you need it.
The lights can be placed using the standard lift bail on the top of the frame. The 18″ deep custom stud cap collar will securely hold the entire system in place.
